Brokenatoms announces new track 'Megalith Rising'

Whenever I listen to any of Brokenatom's music, I always find myself drifting off to far flung alien worlds and adventuring through the vast vacuum of space.

This is probably because his sound is so reminiscent of his contemporaries 65daysofstatic and they created the soundtrack to my favourite game No Mans Sky (which is also a favourite of his, as we found out in our previous interview).

Megalith Rising is another stellar post rock odyssey. 

Growling but restrained guitar chord fuzz leading into a gorgeous stuttering drumline, joined by almost staccato like bass notes kicks us off. Descending into a calming drop of distant guitar licks and pads before a second half that lowers the rhythmic energy and raises the atmospheric intensity before we roll out on the drum line we came in on. Bliss...

We think fans of 65daysofstatic, Mogwai, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Explosions in the Sky et al will really dig this.

Megalith Rising will be available from Brokenatoms' Bandcamp from 2nd February 2023.
