The record marks ASTASU’s most emotionally resonant work to date - an introspective body of ambient and textural compositions shaped by themes of loss, grief, solitude, and quiet optimism. Created over several years in isolation, Stasis Peak reflects a period of personal transformation, capturing moments suspended in time: memories held at a distance, frozen yet deeply influential.
Moving further away from traditional rhythmic structures, ASTASU builds immersive soundscapes that favour atmosphere, restraint, and emotional weight over convention. The result is an album that feels both deeply personal and quietly expansive—music that invites stillness, reflection, and presence.
Stasis Peak will be released digitally on January 16th, 2026 via Absolute Loss.
